When Dobby arrived unexpectedly at our North Lincolnshire Centre, he was just 3 months old and understandably worried by his new surroundings. At such a young age, he was shy, timid and clearly unsettled by already finding himself in need of a new home. For dogs like Dobby, the kennel environment can be a difficult place, so finding a patient and caring friend was going to be crucial in bringing him out of his shell.
That’s where Alison stepped in, one of our amazing volunteer foster carers who offered to take Dobby home until a more permanent placement could be found for him.
“I volunteered to take Dobby home until he found a more permanent foster family so he would be in a home environment straight away. He was incredibly nervous and shy when I first brought him home, but he quickly started to seem more confident and playful”.
