At Jerry Green Dog Rescue, we are dedicated to providing the best possible care for every dog that comes through our doors. Our partnership with Vitalin, our trusted feeding partner, plays a crucial role in achieving this mission. Today, we are excited to share the incredible transformation of Koby, an 8-year-old Husky, who has flourished under our care and with Vitalin’s exceptional nutrition.
Koby arrived at our rescue centre in mid-April, and was sadly quite underweight and under the weather.
Koby’s condition was concerning as he weighed just 25kg when he arrived with us, and we knew that immediate intervention was necessary to restore his health and vitality.
Thanks to Vitalin’s high-quality, nutrient-rich food, we were able to provide Koby with the balanced diet he desperately needed.
We fed Koby little and often, incorporating enrichment feeding with stuffed kongs and sniff work to keep him engaged and satisfied.
Our goal was to feed him for the weight we wanted him to achieve, ensuring he received all the essential nutrients to gain weight healthily.
Koby’s journey to recovery has been amazing and through regular weight checks and a carefully monitored diet, Koby’s weight has increased to a healthy 29.1kg. As his physical condition improved, Koby’s personality began to shine. He has come out of his shell, exhibiting more energy and playfulness than dogs half his age.
Koby has become a favourite amongst our volunteers, who adore his affectionate nature and love for cuddles. His transformation is a testament to the power of proper nutrition and compassionate care.
We are incredibly grateful to Vitalin for their unwavering support and dedication to our cause. Their exceptional food products have made a significant difference in Koby’s life and the lives of many other dogs yet to come into our care.
