Luna was just 12 weeks old when she entered Matthew’s life in 2018. Feeling as though Luna had chosen him, the pair quickly became inseparable. She was the “apple of my eye” Matthew shared, providing endless joy and comfort, particularly during the isolation days of Covid.
However, as life evolved, challenges emerged. As a 3-year-old sprocker spaniel, Luna was naturally energetic and intelligent, requiring significant physical and mental stimulation. Matthew worked long hours, and despite his best efforts with the help of friends and family, Luna struggled with separation anxiety. This then led to destructive behaviours like scratching doors, having accidents and “she even managed to rip up some of the vinyl flooring”.
